Mike and I went to bed about 10:30 last night. I know it was a late night :) Anyway, within minutes Aubrey started crying and yelling for me. It is so endearing to hear her say mommy that I had to go check on her. She was pretty worked up and wanted me to stay in their with her. I asked her if she wanted to come lay with me for a few minutes before she went back to bed. She got in bed with us and stayed there for about twenty minutes. She was rubbing her eyes a lot and kicking her feet so I took her back to bed (after getting her milk and a graham cracker). She still didn't want me to leave. I told her it was late and we all needed to go to sleep.
Well, she didn't like that and was crying really hard. Mike and I were laying there perplexed when she got very quiet. Then she got louder. Then I heard metal? Then she got really loud. Did she? I walked into the hall, and YEP, she was standing there crying. When she saw me she ran into my arms. So my little girl can get out of her crib now! I've known this for a while now, because she climbed out when the slats were down one time, but she was so worked up at the time she didn't even realize it. She also climbed out of the pack and play at Christmas time during a timeout. Now what? I'm very sad to say goodbye to the crib, I was hoping to say goodbye to diapers at the same time, but considering Aubrey runs out of the bathroom yelling no, whenever I bring that up, it'll be a while. So pray for us Heldts, our life is about to change again!
